Kit 28: The Travel Kit

Discover exactly what our Founder, Caroline Hirons, loves about each of the products she chose for Kit 28: The Travel Kit.

Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel

I’ve loved Oskia for years and this innovative cleanser is a classic for a reason. If you’ve had a long day of travelling, it is a joy to use as the first half of an evening double cleanse, clearing away makeup and SPF to leave skin feeling comfortable and nourished. The transformation from gel to oil is incredibly satisfying too, and it feels very light on the skin as you massage it in. Throw in a gorgeous, fresh rose scent, and, for me, you’ve pretty much got the perfect holiday cleanser.

How to use it:
Apply to dry skin, massaging it across the face and neck until melted. Add a little water to transform it into a milk. Use warm water, or ideally a damp flannel, to remove.

Josh Rosebrook Hydrating Accelerator

I’ll never stop talking about how obsessed I am with this product from the wonderful Josh Rosebrook – it’s that good. It’s officially a mist, but it really does feel like a moisturiser in a spritz bottle, with active ingredients like aloe vera and antioxidants hard at work to hydrate and relieve redness. You can’t go wrong carrying it in your travel bag if you want a moment of calming cool in the summer heat. My motto with this is ‘whenever, wherever’!

How to use it:

Mist three to five pumps across your face and reapply throughout the day as needed.

Paula’s Choice 25% Vitamin C + Glutathione Clinical Serum

A lot of products talk the talk when it comes to radiance, but this serum from Paula’s Choice actually delivers, leaving skin with a real glow and brightening areas of dullness. It’s also a great addition to your skincare routine if you suffer from hyperpigmentation, as it makes a visible difference to uneven skin tone and discolouration.

How to use it:
Apply a pearl-sized amount to the face and neck. To see best results, use it in both your AM and PM routine.

Alpha-H High Tide Water Cream

It’s all there in the name – I can’t get enough of this moisturiser from cult Australian brand Alpha-H, as it really is like a cool wave of hydration for your skin. The water-based formula feels incredibly light as you apply it and quickly absorbs into the skin, but the hydration it delivers is intensely nourishing and long-lasting. If you’ve got dry skin, this could be a game-changer.

How to use it:
Massage across the face, neck and décolletage in upward and outward circular movements.

Ultra Violette Fave Fluid SPF50+

Obviously, I couldn’t make a travel kit without giving you a full-size SPF. Ultra Violette is always near the top of my list when it comes to sun protection, and their Fave Fluid is a must-have for any summer travel. It’s their lightest formulation yet – honestly, this sits so effortlessly on top of my moisturiser – and it’s also packed with ingredients like niacinamide and vitamin E to add some extra skincare benefits to the last step in your routine.
How to use it:

Come rain or shine, you know the drill with SPF. Apply daily to any exposed areas of skin.

Ultra Violette Sheen Screen SPF50 (Bejewelled or Silk Pillow)

I didn’t want to stop at just one SPF product, especially when lips often get forgotten about. This balm is an amazing multi-tasker, keeping your lips hydrated with ingredients like shea butter and lanolin while it’s protecting them. I love the peppermint scent, leaving just a hint of freshness that lingers after you apply. In your Kit, you’ll find the Bejewelled or Silk Pillow shade – both glossy and lush.

How to use it:
Apply to lips as the final step in your routine and top up frequently.

Oribe Gold Lust Repair & Restore Shampoo

As soon as I decided to do a Travel Kit, I told my team ‘we’re doing haircare’. This rejuvenating shampoo from Oribe, founded by legendary hairstylist Oribe Canales, is a real treat, leaving your locks feeling so much softer and smoother. If you want to revitalise damaged hair, I think you’re going to love this, but if you just want to indulge in some luxury haircare while you travel, you’re in luck too!

Oribe Gold Lust Repair & Restore Conditioner

This conditioner was practically made for frizz-prone people like me to take on holiday, reducing split ends and the dryness that so often comes along with summer humidity. I get why they’ve called this range ‘Gold Lust’, as when you use the two together, your hair really does have a gorgeous natural shine and feels incredibly healthy.
How to use it:

Massage into hair, lather and rinse.
