About the brand:

Built on Caroline's 25 years of experience, Skin Rocks aims to empower you and your skin to be the best it can be. Combining efficacy and science with clarity and education, truth is our responsibility. We'll always be clear on whether you actually need to purchase one of our products and more importantly, when you do not. All of our products have 'you need this if' and 'you don't need this if' on the outer packaging to make shopping for skincare easy and to ensure that you purchase the right product for your skin. Working with the world's best chemists, we'll only launch a product when the formula works as hard as Caroline wants it to.

After the debut launch of our Retinoid Series, we’re kick-starting 2023 with another addition to the Treatment category – The Support Oil; a clinically-tested, barrier-supporting treatment oil to help soothe the skin. You can expect to experience more products in other categories when the products work hard enough to carry the Skin Rocks name.

The Support Oil:

Soothe and support your barrier with this calming skin saviour. The Support Oil is powered by lipid-rich botanical actives and oils and focuses on instant calming whilst helping to support the skin barrier and reducing the appearance of redness. A rich blend of phytosterols, jojoba and macadamia oils helps to combat the decline of lipids (fats) within the skin barrier and mimics that of a young adult whilst improving skin suppleness and over time, improving firmness, elasticity and hydration –  all whilst supporting the skin barrier. 100% plant-derived olive squalane is the base of our formula, an excellent carrier oil for the blend of nourishing actives in our Support Oil. Olive squalane is lipid barrier-soluble, meaning it can easily absorb into the skin's lipid layers and mimic the skin’s natural oils, conditioning the skin, supporting barrier function and maximising water retention.

Over time, The Support Oil will help to soothe and calm the skin, retaining moisture and maintaining long-term skin barrier function: a must-have all year round and a hero during the winter months. As a bonus, this is perfect for facial massaging too. The Support Oil has also been clinically proven to reduce skin redness by up to 42% and improve skin texture by up to 35%.* During our clinical study, the oil was also found to reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation by up to 22%* – a surprising  yet exciting result, adding additional benefit to your skin.

Fragrance-free and vegan-friendly, The Support Oil is your lightweight, nutrient-rich rescue-in-a-bottle to support a healthy skin barrier and instantly calm your complexion.

*Based on 47 participants using the product daily for four weeks. Independent Clinical Study 2022.

Packaging Overview:

As a formula-first brand, we will always ensure that our packaging never compromises our formulations. While the glass bottle, cap and carton/leaflet of The Support Oil are readily recyclable, the pump is not and should be removed before recycling the other componantries. We will always tell you exactly how much product you need, so the lid of The Support Oil features a handy measurement guide to show you how much oil to use.

Caroline Hirons says:

I literally call this a fire extinguisher for the skin. If you have sensitised, uncomfortable or dehydrated skin, this nourishing, gentle oil is for you.

Containing jojoba, macadamia and sunflower oils blended in a 100% plant-derived pure squalane-based formula, your skin will feel calm, hydrated and plump after use.

You need this if - You want a light yet, nourishing oil to restore and support the skin. You don’t need this if: You do not enjoy using facial oils.
