Will The Hyperpigmentation Serum address my post-acne red marks?
Yes. The Hyperpigmentation Serum is designed to fade all types of marks, post-inflammatory red marks included. Although red marks are not actually a type of hyperpigmentation, the formula’s actives such as niacinamide work to renew and brighten the skin - fading red marks and promoting a more even skin tone in the process.
Will it work on Rosacea?
No. This serum is not a rosacea treatment; it's a hyperpigmentation treatment. Although it works to fade red marks, these are a very different skin concern to rosacea. Red marks are a result of skin trauma or inflammation such as breakouts —so often appear after small blood vessels in the skin become damaged or dilated—whereas rosacea is a chronic inflammatory skin condition requiring specific care. Rosacea will often feel hot and tender, usually has a genetic component, and is largely driven by abnormally reactive blood vessels that lead to redness and changes in the skin’s immune system. Rosacea can be exacerbated by triggers such as UV exposure, alcohol, heat, spicy food and product sensitivity - so it’s very variable.
Depending on your rosacea type and symptoms (i.e. spots/flushing/ skin thickening), the treatments will vary, so it's best to seek advice from a medical professional or dermatologist.
Will it help with general flushing?
No. Flushing is either a temporary visitor on your face, or a symptom of rosacea or sensitivity so steer clear. If you have redness-prone skin or irritation the Skin Rocks Support Oil is excellent for calming and soothing the skin - just avoid using on actively irritated or angry skin and always patch test it/introduce slowly.
Can I use it on redness caused by an impaired skin barrier?
No. Avoid actives completely when your barrier is compromised - just focus on boosting your barrier and regaining skin strength and resilience. The Support Oil is your saviour for this: its lipid-rich formula is fantastic for instantly calming whilst helping to reduce moisture loss and redness.

Will it help with blotchy red patches?
The Hyperpigmentation Serum can help with evening out skin tone, but it won’t address blotchy/permanent redness.
What about red clusters from broken veins?
It won’t treat broken capillaries or deep vascular issues, so if your redness is caused by visible blood vessels (telangiectasia) the formula’s niacinamide may help soothe the area but it won’t eliminate the blood vessels. For that, you’d need treatments like laser therapy/ IPL).
