The AM Routine

Start the day with hydrated, protected skin.

  • STEP 1

    The Cream Cleanser
    Massage The Cream Cleanser onto the face and neck and remove with water or a wet flannel. This cleanser can be used interchangeably with your AM/PM routine.

  • STEP 2

    The Gentle Acid
    Dampen a cotton pad with the toner and sweep over a clean, dry face, avoiding the eye area. Allow the product to absorb fully. Use up to three times a week and use sun protection during the day.

  • STEP 3

    The Antioxidant
    Massage 1-2 pumps onto the entire face once a day.

  • STEP 4

    The Moisturiser
    Apply a blueberry-sized amount, using the lid as a visual guide, and massage into the entire face.

  • STEP 5

    Sun Protection
    Choose your favourite sunscreen and apply over the entire face and neck. Please follow the usage instructions on the pack, but as a rough guide, apply two finger lengths/half a teaspoon-worth for the face and neck.

The PM Routine

Ready for a routine that refines and replenishes skin overnight?

  • STEP 1

    The Gel Cleanser
    Apply to dry or damp skin. Massage with wet hands to transform the gel into a milk. Remove with water or a damp flannel and follow with the rest of your routine.

  • STEP 2

    Retinoid 1
    Apply a few pumps of the serum across your face and lightly massage into the skinAllow to absorb before moving onto the next step of your routine.

  • STEP 3

    The Support Oil
    After your retinoid and before moisturising, apply 1 pump of oil into the palms of the hands and massage onto the face, neck and décolleté. Repeat if necessary.

  • STEP 4

    The Moisturiser
    Apply a blueberry-sized amount, using the lid as a visual guide, and massage into the entire face.

Will The Cream Cleanser remove eye makeup, including mascara?

Yes, The Cream Cleanser has a high oil content and therefore will remove all makeup. You will need to double cleanse.

Is The Gentle Acid suitable for all skin types and for sensitive skins?

Yes, The Gentle Acid is suitable for all skin types. It has been specifically formulated to benefit those with dull, uneven skin. The Gentle Acid has been formulated to use variants of AHAs/PHA shown to have good compatibility with a wide range of skin types and tones. Whilst The Gentle Acid should be okay to use if you are prone to sensitivity, we would always recommend to patch test before first use and to discontinue use if there are any signs of irritation. You should not be using acid products on any areas of skin that are actively sensitised or if you have a known allergy to any of the ingredients used.

Where should I use The Antioxidant in my routine?

The Antioxidant should be used in the middle of your routine at the serum stage.The primary function of an antioxidant is to help protect the skin from environmental aggressors, placing it firmly in the Protect category.

Can I use The Antioxidant with other active Skin Rocks Products?

Yes, you can apply The Antioxidant after either of our Acids; however, you may wish to use The Antioxidant in the AM and your chosen Acid in the PM.

Can I use The Moisturiser in the AM and PM?

Yes, The Moisturiser has been developed to be used as part of your AM and PM routine. Please follow with sun protection when using in the AM.

Are all the products in the set suitable for sensitive skin?

The Cream Cleanser, The Antioxidant and The Moisturiser are all suitable for sensitive skin.

The Gentle Acid has been formulated to use variants of AHAs/PHA shown to have good compatibility with a wide range of skin types and tones. Are all the products in the set suitable for vegans?

The Cream Cleanser, The Antioxidant and The Gentle Acid are vegan-friendly.

The Moisturiser contains '7-dehydrocholesterol' (pro-vitamin D3), derived from the wool grease of healthy, living animals. 

We are constantly reviewing the information provided by our material suppliers and looking to source suitable alternatives for this material for future developments. However, we will only switch once we can ensure that this will not compromise the product's performance.

Is The Gel Cleanser a foaming cleanser? Will it strip my skin?

No, The Gel Cleanser is oil-based and does not foam. The formula will transform from a gel to an oil when massaged into the skin, and then a milk if in contact with water. The Gel Cleanser, like all Skin Rocks cleansers in our Cleanse Category, will never strip the skin.

Will The Gel Cleanser remove makeup and sun protection?

Yes, The Gel Cleanser is oil-based and therefore works well to remove both SPF and makeup, including eye makeup. It can be used as your first and/or second cleanse, and can be used both AM and PM.

Is Retinoid 1 Ok to use on sensitive skin?

Skin Rocks Retinoid 1 has been formulated for beginners, or those with concerns around sensitivity: those who have not used retinoids previously/have used low-strength retinoids irregularly in the past. Please wait at least 4 weeks for your skin to acclimatise to any product. We recommend using our retinoid products for at least 12 weeks before moving onto a higher strength.

Should you use The Support Oil before or after moisturiser?

The Support Oil can be used alone, or applied before your normal moisturiser. We recommend allowing sufficient time for the product to fully absorb before applying your next product.

How long will my AM Routine last?

Your set will last at least two weeks with correct usage. Each mini product has been individually tested and contains at least 14 uses, with some products containing more. Since some of the products, such as The Gentle Acid, are not designed for everyday use, these specific products are expected to last much longer than 2 weeks.

Your set will last at least two weeks with correct usage. Each mini product has been individually tested and contains at least 14 uses, with some products containing more. Since some of the products, such as Retinoid 1, are not designed for everyday use, these specific products are expected to last much longer than 2 weeks.
