The Spring Tag

IT'S APRIL! THE CLOCKS HAVE GONE FORWARD! I'M USING CAPITALS! AND EXCLAMATIONS! A LOT!

Spring to Summer to Fall is my favourite season. No joke. That's my prime time. I love Christmas, I love snow but DAFFODILS. SUNSHINE. SELF TAN. *controls self*
As it's the 1st of April and I'm staring out my window at hyacinths, I'm totally up for the Sping tag that Emily Hearts shoved under my nose via twitter today.

1 . What three colours remind you of Spring?
Green, yellow and orange. I am literally a walking dayglo at the moment. You would not lose me in the dark.

2. What is the first thing you add to your Spring wardrobe?
Colour. Preferably dayglo. See 1. I don't even care.

3. What is the first item that you ditch from your wardrobe to make it more Spring-like?
Black, anything wool and my heavier coats go away to Narnia at the back of the wardrobe.

4. What are your ultimate nude and bright lipsticks?
Aerin is the Queen of 'Nude'. And my favourite brights are from Bobbi Brown, Charlotte Tilbury and Estee Lauder Pure Envy.

5. What is your signature Spring fragrance?
Lys Mediterranee by Frederic Malle - as soon as the days get lighter this comes out. Unbeatable.

6. What do you add or drop from your skin care routine?
I tend to add more spritzes and hydration masks and use lighter creams during the day. I still go for broke in the evenings with a plethora of product, but I go easier in daylight.

7. Do you change your hair up in Spring?
Always. I tend to go blonder on top - which is odd really if you think about it - you'd think you'd want to lighten up for Winter, but I've always been awkward. I'm off to the hairdresser's tomorrow actually. Get it done before the kids break up. :)

8. Are there any exciting beauty releases that you can’t wait for?
I think Charlotte Tilbury's Norman Parkinson Collection will be massive, Estee Lauder are adding to my favourite Pure Envy collection with more lipsticks and Creme de La Mer are reintroducing their Reparative Skintint SPF30 after much begging from their customers - that'll get us started.

9. What are your three favourite nail colours for Spring?
OPI Lincoln Park After Dark - my standard colour, anything bright - especially orange or fuschia pink and My Favourite Ornament - a nice non-tacky glitter - all gels. I'm addicted to gels, the extra week's life of the polish saves me so much time.
