What type of cleanser is it? Cleansing Balm. This is the original version. It comes in three other variations: revitalising, purifying and nourishing. Who is it for? All skin types, won't irritate reddened or sensitised skin. What’s in it? Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, PEG-20 Glyceryl Triisostearate, PEG-10 Isostearate, Synthetic Wax, Onsen-Sui, Phenoxyethanol, Butylene Glycol, Lithospermum Erythrorhizon Root Extract, Tocopheryl Acetate, Fragrance, Ethylhexylglycerin, Water, 1,2-Hexanediol, Bambusa Vulgaris Leaf/Stem Extract, Aspalathus Linearis Extract, Angelica Archangelica Root Extract, Malpighia Glabra (Acerola) Fruit Extract, Polydiethyleneglycol Adipate/IPDI Copolymer, Acrylates/Ammonium Methacrylate Copolymer, Acrylates/Methoxy PEG-15 Methacrylate Copolymer What's not in it? Suitable for pregnancy and breastfeeding? Yes. Any claims? Natural/Organic/Man-made/Vegan Man-made/Vegan. Cruelty-free worldwide? No. Banila retails in mainland China. How does it smell? Delicate acerola (cherry) scent. How do you use it? Apply to dry skin, massage thoroughly to break down all makeup/spf and residue. You can add water to emulsify the oil and massage again, but don't add too much or you'll end up rinsing it away while you are massaging. Remove with a warm flannel or just emulsify and rinse off. First cleanse/second cleanse or AM cleanse? First cleanse. This is not a 'skin' cleanser. Best for winter or summer? All seasons. Does it remove waterproof eye makeup? Yes. How’s the distribution? Available freely or limited? Not freely available in the UK, couple of online stockists. What’s good about it? This removes all makeup and spf with minimal effort. If you prefer to emulsify and rinse, you can, but as always I prefer a flannel/washcloth/muslin cloth. What’s not so good about it? Not much, it's a good basic cleanser. Would I purchase/repurchase? Yes. Do you need it? If you already have a selection of makeup removers or first cleansers, then no. If you want a big tub of 'instant removal' cleanser, then you may enjoy it.
