  • Patented, stabilised salicylic acid + resveratrol: a massively soothing anti-irritant ingredient that targets all three phases of irritation and aids the skin’s natural recovery response. Patented by Estée Lauder, the two ingredients work together and are proven to be massively anti-irritation. Skin is immediately calmed, and soothed, and visible irritations faded.
  • Fermented yeast: to help the skin cells’ own natural purification process in clearing out residual damage, essential in helping to break the cycle of accumulated damage that leads to further irritation.
  • Chronolux™ Technology*: Estée Lauder’s patented Chronolux supports the synchronisation of nightly renewal in the skin. Tested using the skin’s own circadian rhythm, IRC works alongside the PH of the skin, which is lower at night, to aid barrier repair and take down inflammation in the skin.
How does it smell? It contains chamomile, lavender and hedione, designed to aid sleep and relieve stress, but there is genuinely no discernible ‘smell’. Ferment is not the best smelling ingredient, this masks it perfectly without being traditionally ‘fragranced’. Suitable for pregnancy/breastfeeding? Yes How do you use it? Apply directly after Advanced Night Repair in the evenings, either for a few days in a row, a week a month, during seasonal changes or more frequently if needed. One/two pumps, max, is all you need. For an emergency treatment to stressed skin, apply ANR, followed by Intense Reset Concentrate. Also works brilliantly used as a buffer with/after vitamin A usage. I've also been using it in the mornings the day after the vitamin A application in the evenings. Can it be taken around the eyes? Yes, it’s safe for eyes but there are dedicated eye creams in the range. Best for winter or summer? Year-round. How long did I test it for? 3 months Works well with/suggested combinations/routine? Works brilliantly on top of Advanced Night Repair, obviously, but can also be used on its own and on top of other hydrators/lighter serums. Will you visibly ‘see’ results, or does it work behind the scenes? Both. It hydrates and plumps a dehydrated skin instantly, calms redness and heat in the skin and neutralises visible irritation. Behind the scenes a 24 hr hydration boost takes hold, and antioxidants help to fortify the skin so that it boosts its own immunity to aggressors. What’s good about it? I’ve used this off and on over the last three months and find myself reaching for it whenever I’ve irritated my skin, whether that be through stronger product testing or through no fault of my own, i.e. unavoidable lifestyle/working environment etc.. While it is instantly calming, I find my skin genuinely looks more ‘relaxed’ when I wake up, even if I haven’t slept that well. I’ve also used it during the day on occasion the last couple of weeks because my skin really likes it to calm the after-effects of retinol’ing. Do you need it? Yes, if you are dealing with a skin that often shows signs of stress, whether that’s through genetics or lifestyle, and needs more to calm it down. Do you need this if you are young? (I.e. preventative) Yes. It is absolutely suitable for younger skins that fit the profile, i.e. stressed, dehydrated, reddened etc How much is it? /Size £59.00 for 20ml. I’ve used it sporadically for three months and have a 1 third of a bottle left. It is designed to be used as a specialised treatment, not a nightly, regular occurrence. Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Intense Repair Concentrate is £59.00 and available here: https://bit.ly/2zsIj4s *Estee Lauder conducted clinical trials across multiple ethnicities.
