What’s good about it?
It feels lovely on the skin, the formula looks and applies like a slightly runny Betty Crocker cake icing, and that's a compliment. I've tried it over and under other products and it seems to work best over a spritz, and then left to absorb. Used on top of products, it becomes a little sticky, which is fair enough, the brand make no claims that it can be used that way, I just like to try a lot of variables. I didn't get any breakouts from the shea, it seems to be fairly 'thin'.
What’s not so good about it?
It's heavily siliconed, so talk of it being 'oxygenating' are a tad far-fetched. It would have to get through shea, silicone and almond oil for starters. And there's so little licorice and lemon in it that claiming they are brightening is also a stretch.
Would I repurchase?
Probably not, but only because I have too many hydrating masks to trial. I'm sure brand loyalists would repurchase. It's a similar formula to a lot more expensive brands making bigger claims, and it's only $22.00.
Do you need it?
Depends how easily you can buy it, if it's within your budget, and how badly you need a hydrating mask.
