Favourite Cult Beauty Skindie Products | AD
“Skindie”, to me, is a movement that enables spectacular brands to be discovered by more than just skincare freaks. Fortunately for us, Cult Beauty is an amazing platform that enables incredible products to appear on your dressing tables and skincare shelves.
Cult Beauty is quite literally ‘Cult’ status – the clue is in the name people! I was around at the launch of Cult Beauty and you can expect the same reliable delivery, a huge range of amazing products and fabulous customer service. Cult Beauty is one of my favourite beauty websites to peruse at 2am when I can’t sleep, you’re sure to find something (if not 25 things) that you’ll fall in love with.
Then I Met You - Living Cleansing Balm
The Then I Met You Living Cleansing Balm was my top product of 2020, and quite frankly one of the best things to come out of the year. A gorgeous sorbet-soft balm that effortlessly melts away the day (makeup, waterproof mascara and SPF included), this is easily in my top 5 cleansing balms of all time.
Use this as a first cleanse in the evenings. Apply to dry skin, massage thoroughly to break down all makeup/spf and residue. Add a splash of warm water to emulsify and rinse using a damp flannel.
Plenaire - Rose Jelly Cleanser
The Plenaire Rose Jelly Cleanser has a super light and non-stripping formula, making it perfect for all skins. It gently removes your makeup without leaving the skin feeling stripped. I also use as a quick freshening cleanse in the mornings.
Use this as your cleanse either AM or PM (or both!). Massage into dry skin, add a splash of warm water to emulsify and rinse using a damp flannel.
Josh Rosebrook - Hydrating Accelerator
A Hall of Fame product for me, the Josh Rosebrook Hydrating Accelerator is like a moisturiser in a bottle. It has to be smelled to be believed and used in its entirety to see the positive effect on the skin – it really is the Rolls Royce of facial mists.
Use it alone, after cleansing, under serums, over serums, under moisturiser, over moisturiser, under makeup, over makeup, on an airplane, in your car, at your desk, when it’s hot, when it’s cold, wherever and whenever.
Jordan Samuel - Aftershow Cleanser
The Jordan Samuel Aftershow Cleanser is a huge favourite of mine, and is also extremely popular amongst other skincare freaks. Removes everything quickly and effortlessly, leaves no residue and a complete joy to use.
Use as either a first or second cleanse, apply to dry or damp/dry skin, add water if you want to emulsify. Massage thoroughly, repeat if necessary.
Biossance - Squalane and Peptide Eye Gel
A weightless, ultra-hydrating eye gel that helps to reduce the look of puffiness and dark circles. Your entire eye contour appears brighter and deeply hydrated, while slack, sagging skin feels plumper and more firm to the touch.
Use both AM and PM. Apply a small amount (half a pump is usually sufficient) to the tip of the ring finger, blend with opposing finger and apply in a circular motion around the eyes.
Votary - Super Seed Cleansing Oil
The Votary Super Seed Cleansing Oil is perfect for sensitised, dry, hormonal or reddened skin but all skins can use it. Although it’s an oil, it’s not thick and gloopy like some others. The watery (I mean that in a good way) consistency is amazing and leaves the skin feeling incredibly comfortable.
Apply as usual to dry hands, then dry skin, then massage and remove with a hot flannel. I use two pumps for a second cleanse and one pump for a morning cleanse.
Votary - Super Seed Nutrient Cream
A gorgeously rich moisturiser, the Votary Super Seed Nutrient Cream is deeply moisturiser and gives you hydrated skin with a smooth and balanced complexion. Suited for fragile and sensitised skin (but a fabulous addition to any routine) this cream is lightweight, calming and fragrance free.
Use PM. Massage into the skin after your serum, or cleanser if you’re not using a serum.
Summer Fridays - CC Me Serum
Summer Fridays CC Me Serum contains two forms of skin-brightening vitamin c, squalane, peptides and a heathy dose of niacinamide making this a multitasking serum that naturally brightens, improves the texture of your skin, and reduces dark spots and hyperpigmentation. Add to your morning routine for a glowy, even complexion.
Use AM or PM. Use one pump of the serum and massage/pat onto face and neck. Apply to your cheeks first. Trust me.
MV Skintherapy - Rose Soothing and Protective Moisturiser
A fabulous moisutiser for sensitive skins, the MV Skintherapy Rose Soothing and Protective Moisturiser contains rose and rose geranium essential oils and Vitamin E. A pleasure to use, and smell (it’s like walking through a rose bush on a summers day), expect to wake up with hydrated and happy skin.
Use AM or PM. Smooth one pump over face and neck.
Kopari - Lip Glossy
I’m very rarely (if ever) without a lip balm. The Kopari Beauty Lip Glossy is hydrating without being sticky and results in a perfectly moisturised pout. A must have for anyone’s handbag, car, desk draw or wherever really!
Apply to your lips as and when needed.
Shani Darden- Retinol Reform
The Shani Darden Retinol Reform is an incredibly effective treatment. It helps to stimulate collagen production, refine the skin’s texture and reduce the look of scars, dark spots and enlarged pores – resulting in smoother, more youthful looking skin.
Use PM. Start using 1-2 days per week and build up to using as often as your skin feels comfortable. Follow with a moisturiser.
Make sure to use an SPF the following morning.
