SUMMER FRIDAYS CC ME SERUM

SUMMER FRIDAYS CC ME SERUM

I’ve been neglecting the blog lately and putting quick posts up on Instagram, so figured it was time to go back and you know…BLOG.

The Summer Fridays CC ME Serum is a light, water-based vitamin C serum with an extra kick from niacinamide, squalane, glycerin and peptides.

It contains two stable types of vitamin C in the form of 3-O-ethyl ascorbic acid and ascorbyl glucoside, making for a serum that works well under others and is suitable for all.

What’s in it?
Water/Aqua/Eau, Niacinamide, 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid, Ascorbyl Glucoside, Butylene Glycol, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Glycerin, Xanthan Gum, Squalane, Diheptyl Succinate, Capryloyl Glycerin/Sebacic Acid Copolymer, Citric Acid, Sodium Citrate, Sodium Hydroxide, Carbomer, Polysorbate 20, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7, Camellia Oleifera Leaf Extract, Orchis Mascula Flower Extract, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Cananga Odorata Flower Extract, Cucumis Melo Cantalupensis Fruit Extract, Eugenia Caryophyllus (Clove) Flower Extract, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Extract, Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Fruit Extract, Rosa Gallica Flower Extract, Cinnamomum Cassia Bark Extract, Jasminum Officinale (Jasmine) Flower/Leaf Extract, Coffea Arabica (Coffee) Seed Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Tocopheryl Acetate, Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Amyl Cinnamal, Cinnamyl Alcohol, Eugenol, Hydroxycitronellal.

Good for:
Brightening a dull skin, helping with pigmentation and dark spots (helping, not ‘fixing’ remember, that’s a prescription or a laser), hydrating, giving a glow.

You need this if:
You are (slightly) older (30+) and have a dehydrated or any skin to be honest..
You want antioxidant protection and a glow.
You want ingredients to support collagen (you can’t ‘add’ collagen to the skin, just support it).
You have pigmentation or dark spots that you want help with.
You find the OSKIA Super-C too heavy (for example).
You are looking for a multi-tasking serum that does all of this and are tired of using 3 different serums.

You don’t need this if:
You are 20/25, have no real skin concerns and are watching your budget. There are simpler (that’s not a compliment) formulas that are more affordable.
You have 5 other vitamin C serums. Use them up. Use them twice a day if necessary. They go off quicker than other products. Don’t waste your cash.
You want it just for the ‘gram. Don’t spend money you don’t have on something that you don’t need to impress people you’ve never met. (Yours sincerely, Mum)

Having said all that. I really, really like this serum. It applies beautifully, gives a glow without a heavier oil base ingredient, definitely brightens and feels like it lasts all day under your moisturiser. One pump is sufficient for most normal-sized faces, I however, apply two pumps to my pumpkin-sized head and neck. A pleasure to use.
