The Hyperpigmentation Serum

Yes. The Hyperpigmentation Serum specifically targets areas of uneven pigmentation and pairs perfectly with our Retinoid Serums. We recommend applying The Hyperpigmentation Serum daily in the AM and/or PM, and the retinoids 3-4 times a week in the PM. If using both serums in the PM, apply The Hyperpigmentation Serum first, followed by Retinoid 1 or 2.

If hyperpigmentation is not a concern of yours, you only need The Antioxidant. If you have hyperpigmentation, you should absolutely be using both serums. We recommend using The Antioxidant in the morning for protection, and The Hyperpigmentation Serum in the evenings to target hyperpigmentation. However, if hyperpigmentation is your primary concern, we recommend using it twice a day in both the morning and evening, and applying it before The Antioxidant in the morning.

Whilst both serums contain different forms of vitamin C, they are not just vitamin C serums; the overall formulations are designed for different purposes and have been designed to complement each other.

The Antioxidant is your daily protector and is a preventative skincare product which everyone needs in their routine. The Hyperpigmentation Serum is your targeted treatment product, specifically for those with hyperpigmentation.

This serum has been designed to target dark marks, red marks, sun spots and melasma. Freckles are a form of melanin overproduction, so you may find that this serum temporarily softens their appearance, but it won't permanently remove them.

Melasma is a medical condition. While this serum can help to fade the hyperpigmentation associated with melasma, it is not a cure or treatment for it. When used consistently, The Hyperpigmentation Serum can be used to help manage the appearance of the condition, but it is important to remember to use it alongside precautions such as daily sun protection, staying out of the sun and avoiding excess heat exposure (e.g., steam rooms, saunas).

Yes, the Hyperpigmentation Serum can be used all year round. It’s important to note, however, that during the summer months, hyperpigmentation often becomes more prominent due to increased UV exposure, and hyperpigmentation can often get worse before it starts to fade, so you may see results more slowly when using during the summer than during the winter. To help prevent future hyperpigmentation from forming, we recommend using The Antioxidant and your sun protection in the mornings and The Hyperpigmentation Serum at night.
