Delivering all the hydration without any heaviness, The Light Moisturiser is suitable for all, but ideal for those with combination, oily or congestion-prone skin. Perfect for warmer weather, or for those who simply prefer a lighter texture, this efficacious gel-cream delivers all the benefits in one light-as-air formula.

Formulated with skin-conditioning and barrier-boosting actives such as pro-vitamin D3, a desert succulent stem cell active and a ceramide precursor, and with the same Lipid-Advanced Complex we use throughout our Skin Rocks range, you can find comfort in the fact that The Light Moisturiser works effectively to replenish the skin barrier. With a super smooth, gel-cream texture, this moisturiser absorbs effortlessly, providing instant hydration and replenishing the skin barrier.

All Skin Rocks Moisturisers cater to those prone to sensitivity or who simply prefer non-fragranced products by offering a fragrance-free formula, as well as those who prefer a more sensorial experience with our signature light, refreshing scent.

Derived from a plant that has adapted to manage water and light in some of the harshest, driest climates on earth, this ingredient helps to boost hydration, maximise water retention and plump the skin by aiding the absorption of water and the production of vitamin D.

What’s the difference between The Light Moisturiser and The Moisturiser?

The Light Moisturiser is a lighter version of our bestseller, The Moisturiser. Both are suitable for all, but The Light Moisturiser is ideal for those with combination, oily or congestion-prone skin, for warmer weather, or for those who simply prefer a lighter texture. Both moisturisers share many of the same key ingredients, with The Light Moisturiser having more hydration-focused actives.

Should I use The Light Moisturiser in the AM and PM?

Yes, The Light Moisturiser has been developed to be used as part of your AM and PM routine. Please follow with sun protection when using in the AM.

Is The Light Moisturiser suitable for oily/breakout-prone skin?

Yes, The Light Moisturiser is ideal for those with oily, breakout-prone skin. Our original moisturiser – The Moisturiser – is also suitable for this skin people with this skin profile, and which you choose would be determined by your textural preference.

Is The Light Moisturiser oil free?

No. The Light Moisturiser is intentionally not oil free. Our aim was to create a formula that delivers the same barrier-supporting efficacy as our other moisturisers, which requires lipid-soluble ingredient such as the oils used in our Lipid Advanced Complex, many of which are oils. The idea that oily skin needs oil-free products is a myth, and in fact, depriving oily skin of any oil can actually cause the skin to overproduce more oil to compensate for this, hence why we formulated The Light Moisturiser with efficacious lipids to support the skin barrier whilst remaining light in texture.

Is The Light Moisturiser vegan?

The Light Moisturiser contains '7-dehydrocholesterol' (pro-vitamin D3), derived from the wool grease of healthy, living animals. We are constantly reviewing the information provided by our material suppliers and looking to source suitable alternatives for this material for future developments. However, we will only switch once we can ensure that this will not compromise the product's performance. No animals are harmed in this process.

Is The Light Moisturiser suitable for sensitive skin?

Yes. Both the fragranced and fragrance-free formulas have been determined suitable for sensitive skin. However, this will ultimately differ per person. If you are prone to sensitivity, we recommend opting for the fragrance-free version. As with any new product, we recommend you patch-test before incorporating it into your routine.
