Retinoid 1, our beginner-strength serum, is clinically proven to be suitable for sensitive skin*. Containing hydroxypinacolone retinoate (HPR), a next-generation, gentle yet effective retinoid, alongside skin-conditioning heroes, this formula packs the punch of a retinoid serum while minimising irritation.

Working perfectly alongside a retinoid, The Support Oil helps to support a healthy skin barrier and instantly calm your complexion. Formulated with a blend of nourishing ingredients, this treatment oil helps to soothe and calm the skin.

How to use

STEP 1
Retinoid 1
Use in the PM after cleansing, up to 3 times a week. Massage 2-3 pumps onto the face. Allow to absorb before moving on to the next step in your routine.

Initially, we recommend using Retinoid 1 twice a week, gradually building up to 3-4 times per week. If you are currently using an exfoliating acid product, we would recommend you use this and the retinoid in alternate routines.

STEP 2
The Support Oil
Use daily in the AM and/or PM, or as needed. Massage 1-2 pumps onto the face, neck and décolleté as the last stage of your treatment step.

If you have particularly sensitive skin and/or are nervous about retinoid usage, you can apply The Support Oil before Retinoid 1 to act as a buffer, slowing down penetration of the retinoid.

Does The Vitamin A Beginner Set contain fragrance?

As with all products in our TREATMENT category, both products in this set are fragrance free.

How do I know when to move onto a higher-strength retinoid?

Please wait at least 4 weeks for your skin to acclimatise to any product. We recommend using our retinoid products for at least 12 weeks before moving on to a higher strength.

Can I use The Vitamin A Beginner Set with other active ingredients/treatments?

We would recommend you avoid using other actives in the same routine as Retinoid 1. The Support Oil is perfect for use between active treatments or beforehand to act as a buffer.
We recommend allowing sufficient time for the product to fully absorb before applying your next product.

You can use other actives on alternate days to your retinoid, but please be sure to incorporate days where your routine focuses solely on hydration.

Can I use The Vitamin A Beginner Set daily?

The Support Oil can be used every day, morning and night. However, Retinoid 1 should only be used up to 3-4 times a week.

Is The Vitamin A Beginner Set recyclable?

Retinoid 1:
The pumps for our Retinoid products are not currently recyclable unless dismantled. We encourage you to keep your pump and glass bottle and purchase a refill instead. Once you have finished and would like to recycle your product, rinse and dry out all componentry and please check materials against local requirements.

The Support Oil:
